Dr. Danielle Tschirhart

Dr. Tschirhart graduated from Texas A&M University in 2002 with a degree in Political Science. She received her Master’s degree of Education in Counseling from the University of St. Thomas and a Doctorate of Philosophy degree in Early Childhood Developmental Psychology from Fielding University. Prior to (and while) pursuing her Master’s degree, Dr. Tschirhart worked as a classroom teacher in middle school and high school settings in both the Dallas and Houston areas. Following her time as a teacher, Dr. Tschirhart served as the school counselor for St. Stephen’s Episcopal School for four years. After leaving the school setting, Dr. Tschirhart began working with Dr. Michelle M. Forrester in private practice for five years before deciding to begin her own clinical practice.

After selling her clinical practice, she served as Director of Children’s Services at Ethos Wellness Behavior Group, where she led and supported multidisciplinary care for children and families. Drawing on extensive clinical experience and leadership in pediatric mental health, she later chose to establish The Growing Mind Studio to offer thoughtful, developmentally informed parent consultation in a way that prioritizes both high-quality care and sustainable work–life balance.

Dr. Tschirhart has been working as Developmental Psychologist and Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor since 2015. Additionally, Dr. Tschirhart is a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor with the Association For Play Therapy. She enjoys training new professionals in the field of counseling. Dr. Tschirhart is originally from Corpus Christi, Texas but has been living in Houston with her family since 2005.

Dr. Tschirhart uses the individual needs and strengths of each family she works with to help parents and/or guardians develop strategies for stronger social, interpersonal and behavioral skills for their children.
